Easter dress Tester for AnsLeigh

I found *the* dress pattern for

her. Here she is in the tester dress. Looking forward to making the real deal. I think I will gather vertically or make more deliberate pleats for the waistband.

The Six Flags Purse tester

Kristin and I are going to

Six Flags and want a convenient way of storing our keys, phone, etc. Voila! I saw a tutorial on Sew Mama Sew and knew this was it. I will make 2 more tomorrow but needed to test it out today. Love it!!!!

My mix and match Easter Dress

Every year I make the girls Easter Dresses. This time I used the Precious pattern but adapted the neckline to a square one and pleated the bottom of the sleeve in the center instead of

gathering. Then for the closure I used a button and loop one. No zippers tonight!!!

The bottom of the dress is based from the Miss Lily pattern! I think I will add a sash to the official dress and more to the shoulders of the square neckline. So excited!!!

I have a problem

I keep buying sewing patterns!! I am starting to realize that the style I like has lots of the same shapes, etc. I want to learn how to mix& match, alter patterns without buying anymore. Any tips?
